There's Room Somewhere

Description

So here is my entry for the disney-club group Fan Fave Princess Challenge. I intend to add more details to Rapunzel's painting but as I am practically out of time now, I will submit it as is! I'm experimenting with 'painting' (this is clearly digital )  with a medieval stylization, and given that medieval manuscripts were the chief inspiration for Rapunzel's walls and her painting style, I thought that it would be a lot of fun to paint her in this way, and of course she is also painting in a medieval style.

This piece is hardly exemplary of any medieval art on its own. It is not too uncommon for a picture to be painted with visible lineaert, though it is equally common for there to be zero line art showing. I did not include a border, nor did I include a very complicated background - some manuscript pieces and tapestries have insanely detailed backdrops.

But anywho, the picture portrays Rapunzel coming back to the tower, presumably after some time has passed (not in the Tangled series universe, clearly) and has decided to paint the walls some more, there is plenty of room outside of the tower on its walls. Right at this point she's finishing the symbolic sunburst from the flower that brings Eugene back to life. When I have time to do so, I want to add progressing scenes - from that scene - to Rapunzel's painting :)

Oh, also, frequently in medieval art a woman's skirt will be caught up in or hand or in a belt - especially when she is working. Rapunzel is using Eugene's belt ;)

I have included:
Rapunzel's tower (local)
Rapunzel's companion, Pascal
Her talent, painting.

I forgot to add a frying pan ( Since she seems to have left the original it at the campsight on her birthday, who knows if she gets it back!) And I don't honestly know whether or not I can count the paint brush.

Ooh, I love the organic feel to everything here with all the curving lines and foliage. Pascal is a nice detail, he looks so cute perched up top there. How interesting to have her revisit her once-home and find a way to reconcile with what happened there.
